Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Lamentations 3:22-24 (The Message)

God's loyal love couldn't have run out, is merciful love couldn't have dried up.They're created new every morning. How great your faithfulness!I'm sticking with God (I say it over and over). He's all I've got left.

Isn't it awesome that God's mercies are new every morning? That means that when we ask forgiveness (and mean it), He is faithful to forgive and we can start over with a clean slate. Do you ever get bogged down by life and worry? Or do you ever feel like you are far, far away from God? Was there a time when you loved God more than you do today? Maybe its time you re-read Lamentations 3:22-24

Lamentations 3:22-24 (King James Version)
22It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Now let us all stand and sing Hymn #232 "Great is Thy Faithfulness"..... in case you have forgotten the words.....here they are............

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.
Refrain
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Refrain
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Church is dismissed.

I read your post and as I read the words to "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", I started singing them as I read. I love that song!

You should be leaving for Disney soon, right, like today? Have a safe trip and takes lots of pictures.

Well...I'll be reading this every morning this week! I love how The Message puts this passage.

I'm praying that you all have travel and a wonderful time with the mouse this week! (and I'm a little jealous of that..in a godly way of course ;) I'm still trying to figure out if I could sneak you into the Siesta Fiesta! I really wish you were going!!! Maybe us southern bloggers can plan a get together sometime in the fall???

Beth Moore has nothing on Beth Street. There are times when I feel distance from God. Two bad things are brought to mind when that happens.(1) Distance from God is not good (2) God didn't move, it was me. Thanks for being sensitive to the Holy Spirit, that ministered to me in a great way. Missing you guys, but praying you will have a safe, fun time together as family and a safe trip home. Hope to see you guys at end of August. Tell Steve I would like to move into my room sometime this year! OK. Love ya. Dad
