Okay, I know you have been waiting on the edge of your seats to read my answers to your questions (okay maybe not on the very edge), so here they are.................

Stephanie aks "How did you and your man meet?"

Well, Stephanie, long ago and in a land far, far, away......well, not really. It WAS long ago (9 yrs) and in a land about 30 minutes down the road...... I 'll give you the short version :My husband worked with my stepfather. Hubs had just transferred back here (which is also his home) from Chattanooga when my stepdad told me he would like for me to meet him. My mom, my stepdad, hubs and I had dinner together. I had never seen him before - he pulled up in a little sportscar (which we still have). We talked and he took me back to my apartment. We talked there for about an hour and a half. He asked if he could call me and I said yes. He did call me, but it was a year and a half later. Yes, you read that right 18 months later he called. During that time he saw my mom and stepdad often and come to find out he was still 'dating' a girl in Chattanooga. So, 18 months later after they had broken up he decided to call me. When I answered the phone and figured out who it was, at first I decided I would not go out with him if he asked......BUT, he was too nice so I went. We went on our first date on January 12th, 1999 (Outback Steakhouse) and we were married on June 26th of that same year. Short courtship? Yes, but nine years later we are still married, so I guess it is working out AOK.

First date at Outback - $50
Outdoor wedding in Gazebo - $4,000 (not including dress, tuxes, limo, or honeymoon)
Nine years and 2 boys later - Priceless

Kelly S asks :"What is God teaching you right now and what is your favorite scripture?"

Right now God is teaching me to listen and keep my mouth shut in my relationship with Him. He is teaching me that I talk to much and listen way too little. He is also teaching me to listen for and to Him in the everyday things. By that I mean, He is speaking to me through others and through His Word and He is showing me how to expect His presence and His voice.

My favorite scripture is Isaiah 43:1-13
1 But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:Fear not, for I have redeemed you; have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.
4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life.
5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you;I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.
6 I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth-
7 everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."
8 Lead out those who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf.
9 All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble. Which of them foretold this and proclaimed to us the former things? Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right, so that others may hear and say, "It is true."
10 "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.
12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "that I am God.
13 Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?"

and do you read fiction, if so what??

I love to read fiction, but don't have much time to do it anymore. I love anything Francine Rivers and Angela Elwell Hunt and Roberta Kels-Door (Not sure of that spelling). I used to read at least 3 books per week - love to read!

Fran wants to know: "What is the name of one of your most favorite Bible studies that you have completed???"

Well, Fran, I loved Breaking Free and I also loved He Speaks to Me, but one of my favorites is Priscilla Shirer's Discerning the Voice of God - maybe it is because that is what I am doing now. I have loved every Beth Moore study I have done, but I am trying to branch out and find some new favorties as well.

Jennifer in Japan wants to know:

What is your favorite indulgence?

Graeter's Ice Cream/Homemade Cornflake cookies/Homemade No-Bake Oatmeal cookies --- you did mean food indulgence right? I have no other indulgences other than food!

Do you wear granny panties or bikini cut? Well, depends on what day it is. Some granny/some bikini. And it also depends on what I am wearing that day. I can tell you that I will never wear a thong - why would I buy panties that are intended to creep into places they dont belong? I do my best to keep mine outta there! Don't get me started on women who wear thongs and flash them in our faces all the time --- really, people, no one wants to see your underwear!

How often do you get your hair cut? every 6 weeks

Alana asks:

Have you ever traveled outside of the US? Where?
Yes, France, Spain, Mexico, the Carribean - Bahamas, Castaway Kay (Disney Island)

What are you having for dinner tonight? Good question, I am sorry I dont have an answer for you (not half as sorry as my husband) 6 yr old has a basketball game tonight so probably hot dogs? Sad, I know, but true nonetheless

What is the next fun thing you have on your calendar? Ummmmm, we go to aNashville for a week over my son's spring break - my husband will be working while the b oys and I are at Opry Mills shopping and eating at the Rainforest Cafe. Then in May we are going camping - not sure where yet. Then in July ----- IT'S DISNEY WORLD, BABY!!!!!!

And finally, Anonymous asks:

How do you manage to look so great, keep your house spotless, and stay so skinny?

Well, Anon, it is definitely a challenge, but somehow I manage. :-)

Isn't that anonymous so sweet? (okay its me and my house is a mess, my eyes are all swollen and red for some reason unknown to me or anyone else, and I am nowhere near skinny but whatever!)

So, that ends the question and answer session. Thank you for all your questions - sorry for the boring answers. Come back soon for another exciting post............
