Another Video

So, here is another video. Accept my apologies in advance. I thought it might be time to lighten the mood in blogland, so I kind of changed the subject from the election to a post from last week where I asked if you thought it was too early to decorate for Christmas.

Let me say that I appreciate all your input. Most of you said that you thought it was way too early to decorate. Some of you said it is NEVER too early. Others said if I decorate so soon, I would have to dust my ornaments (good point and a point well taken).

Anyway, watch this video to see what I finally decided about decorating early......I will warn you that this video is very unorganized and hard to understand stream of consciousness and ends very abruptly. I had a short time in which to finish because I did it on the easy share -I had less than 2 minutes to talk....whatdya want, people, I am not Steven Spielberg!!!! ;-)

And I would like to say that I am thankful that the still shot below does not make me look like "Bethanne on Crack" as the other video still did.

Maybe you didn't understand what I was talking about. Our house might be finished right around Christmas time. I do not want to move at Christmas because I want to have a normal holiday. I know my hubs will want to move and will think it possible to have everything in its place by Christmas even if we move on the 24th (he has faith in his superwoman wife, ya know). So, I decided to remove all temptation of moving at Christmas ..........Talk about a surprise when he came home to Christmas lights and music. I figure if I keep the blinds shut the neighbors will never know know what a crackpot I am. Yep, that's how we roll in Tennessee people.

Merry Christmas, y'all.

So now this means that you could have the boys on video speaking to their Granddaddy and telling him how much they love him. Right?
Course I noticed you didn't tell me how much you loved me. Now there's just something wrong with that video. Get it?

Im so cracking up too! but Mine is on Bethanne looking like she was on crack, in the last still frame...I love Christmas as well, but out tradition is to put it up the day after Thanksgiving, but as soon as I show my Momma yours she will have her's up too, stating she is not alone!

Im with your daddy,...I would love to hear your boys on video telling their Granddaddy how much they love him!! It'd be so Sweet! Yes People "It'd" short for It will.. is a Tennessee word..

Cheryl,
My husband thinks I am a nut, but he knows that I am right on this one......if the house were finished on Dec 24th, he would want to move into it, so he just laughed .....he even helped me hang the garland.......;-) or as Lake calls it, the garlic.

Bethanne,

Dusting ornaments on December 24th is MUCH better than moving on December 24th!!! Great thinking!!

Merry Christmas!

Decorating now seems normal to me.
What do I know, I'm a guy.

It is probably a good thing that you went ahead and decorated instead of waiting on the new house. While I was looking forward to my new room at Christmas time, I don't see that being a reality. It's a nice thought though!

YOU ARE HILARIOUS!
if that's how you roll in tennessee, than i am so going to move there.

your witty, and act on it. i like that.

we moved jan 1. (nearly 4 yrs ago). i too didn't want to move in on christmas. christmas has so much going on, and i wanted to enjoy it, not deal with it. jan 1st was great! the first day of a new year, and of a new chapter in our lives.

We moved on Dec 20 one year and yes, I put up a Christmas tree! Oh, and we also left the new house on Dec 24th to head to East TN and my parents for Christmas. I couldn't imagine not having a tree up! My extended family thought I was crazy but my three little ones (5,3,and 1) loved it! Debbie

Funny......I can't think about Christmas yet, but I am a true hillbilly. Therefore, in my mind its perfectly acceptable to leave up Christmas decorations year round. :)

You are so cute! You'd fit right in here in Btown. All the locals decorate right after Halloween. I have always held out, but this year I'm thinking about doing it a little early...like the weekend before Thanksgiving since we'll be traveling to Indiana that weekend! Your decorations look great!!
